The Role

ArcBlue is currently seeking an outstanding Senior Consultant to join our Melbourne-based team with hybrid work-from-home arrangements available. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering procurement advisory projects to our clients across Victoria, with potential involvement in projects across Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

The ideal candidate will have practical procurement experience and showcase procurement proficiency across a range of categories (technology, corporate services and/or infrastructure), reflecting a well-rounded professional background. Experience in or an understanding of procurement governance and probity, as well as government procurement arrangements, will also be advantageous.

Whilst you have strong experience managing complex sourcing procurement activities, we will leverage your broader procurement and process improvement experience and develop you to be able to conduct a variety of project types, such as

  • Assessing procurement capabilities
  • Formulating category strategies
  • Developing procurement policies and frameworks
  • Analysing spend and identifying savings opportunities
  • Reviewing and selecting procurement systems
  • Applying and assessing sound governance and probity principles
  • Developing procurement training materials
  • Social and sustainable procurement

Key Responsibilities

As an integral part of our collaborative team, you will contribute to the achievement of excellence in client value through effective project delivery, utilization, and output. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Project Delivery: Excel in delivering superior advisory services to our clients, across the full suite of ArcBlue products and services. Leverage your subject matter expertise to enhance project team effectiveness.
  • Business development: We will leverage any interest you have in this area to support the leadership team with business development activities including assisting with development of quotations and bid responses.
  • Internal support: Play a vital role in supporting internal ArcBlue development projects and practices. Utilize your industry experience and expertise to contribute to business systems, IT, strategic planning, and marketing efforts. Your insights will be instrumental in supporting internal product development initiatives.

About You

  • You are a high-performing procurement practitioner passionate about the value procurement brings to organisations.
  • Strong experience in conducting medium to high complexity end-to-end sourcing projects.
  • Ethical behaviour with a background in the application of probity and compliance principles.
  • Ideally, you have procurement experience in different sectors such as state government, local government, and/or the private sector.
  • A problem solver who can juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess a curious mindset, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a genuine eagerness to grow and learn.
  • Well-developed writing skills.
  • A collaborative team player.
