Commercial Lawyers (6years +)

The team is rapidly growing across various locations: Canberra, Melbourne, with remote work in Sydney and other States considered.

As a Proximity team member, your role is that of a trusted sidekick – helping our clients’ teams succeed by embracing the complexity and sensitivity of commercial law issues and knowing how to be helpful in the context of the APS environment.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• 6+ years’ Commercial law experience, preferably within a government environment
• A desire to work closely with the client, to be proactively engaged in the day-to-day happenings of their business
• Experience leading and develop others, and be adaptable, responsive and alert to the government environment
• Hold a current Legal Practising Certificate (or the ability to reinstate one)
• An Australian Government security clearance (or the ability to obtain one)
• Understanding of legal project management, risk management, probity, and proactive stakeholder engagement skills.
