Agile Coach - Portfolio Level
Due to high demand for our services we're now looking for an experienced Agile Portfolio/Program Level Coach to join the Elabor8 team and to bring their exceptional stakeholder management and coaching skills with them.
A day in the life
The work life of an Enterprise level Agile Portfolio Coach with one of major clients is varied and will see you:
- Coach, train and support Squads and Portfolios on a variety of agile programs/proiects (across a variety of domains) in client organisations (remotely and on-site as needed)
- Workshop and guide teams through the implementation and evolution of Portfolio Roadmaps
- Align delivery efforts with our clients' transformation agenda
- Assist with spreading and explaining the Agile Ways of Working to teams in order to tackle complex organisation delivery challenges
- Implement Portfolio Metrics and support teams with individual team Metrics and have tools and processes implemented to visualise these easily
- As a true servant leader support squads by developing their core agile maturity though mentoring, coaching and facilitating sessions on Agile tools, as well as rolling out Agile Maturity Assessments and reporting
- Act as an agile champion and upskill key delivery roles (eg Product Owner, Iteration Manager, Portfolio Managers, etc. and contribute to expanding their understanding and practice of agile principles and values
- You'll help with the decomposition of the program backlog and improve the processes for allocation of backlog items to teams and tracking of progress and dependencies
- You'll use your understanding of team dynamics and agile leadership to identify key bottlenecks and to build a high-performing 'team of teams'.
Who are our new Agile coach will look like
To be successful in this full-time salaried role you will have -
EXPERIENCE
10 years+ experience in IT (at least 5 years of experience in enterprise technology environments).
5 years+ experience in agile environments including at least 5 years as an Agile Coach coaching and mentoring teams in at least 4 of the following - Agile ceremonies and practices; Progress Tracking; Value decomposition; Acceptance Test development (ATD); Test Driven Development (TDD); Continuous Integration and source code management or Agile Quality Assurance.
Extensive stakeholder management experience in enterprise technology environments. and the ability to successfully influence up to Director level.
Deep understanding and experience with at least two agile methods (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, XP, Scrum/XP, SAFe, LeSS, nexus, FDD, etc.).
Leadership and coaching expertise in introducing agile practices and building high performing teams of teams.
