Are you looking for more job flexibility, project and client variety, autonomy, a flat structural environment, and easy access to passionate, switched on, experienced leaders?

We’re looking for management consultants to work in a flexible and empowering environment, helping to solve genuinely interesting and impactful problems.

Grosvenor is a privately-owned and growing boutique management consulting firm with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Adelaide and Brisbane. For over 25 years we have helped our public and private sector clients find fearless and practical solutions to complex problems, achieving the right results in the right way. Working across our practice areas of public sector advisory, property and procurement, our consultants deliver a wide variety of projects which make every day an interesting challenge.

We offer all our staff:

  • the ability to have a life (40 hours is the norm, not the exception)
  • a variety of interesting clients and advisory projects
  • trust from day one and the opportunity to shape a growing company
  • a true team environment (with good wine and cheese starting at 4pm every Friday)
  • flexible hybrid work environment with ability to work from home two days a week and minimal ‘work from client site’ requirements
  • the ability to drive your own career choices and rapidly develop and progress (no requirement for a position to be vacant for you to be promoted)
  • a generous annual learning and development allowance – tailor your career around your interests
  • a non-hierarchical structure free from bureaucracy with easy access to highly experienced senior staff
  • the chance to work alongside a highly capable team who deliver top quality work but don't take themselves too seriously
  • regular company away days and social events
  • access to health and wellbeing support.

We are looking for either Consultants (minimum of one year of relevant experience – ideally professional services) or Senior Consultants (minimum of two years of relevant experience with at least one year of professional services experience) to join our Melbourne team (applicants for our Sydney and Canberra offices will also be considered).

To give some insights, our consulting personnel typically work in project teams of 3-4 people and across multiple projects simultaneously:

  • at the Consultant level, you will play an active role in supporting the team to successfully deliver client projects by completing tasks such as project and stakeholder planning, research and analysis, supporting consultations, and helping develop written deliverables (reports or presentations)
  • as a Senior Consultant, you continue to support projects with increased autonomy and responsibility for delivering elements of the project and owning some of the client relationship
  • you will be well supported throughout the delivery of projects by Project Managers and Project Directors who are ultimately accountable for the success of each project
  • all consulting staff are responsible for effectively managing their own workload, including capacity forecasting and being accountable for the work they deliver, as well as educating and nurturing less experienced staff.

We are looking for candidates that have the right experience, capabilities, and attitude. The ideal applicants will demonstrate:

  • strong communication (both written and oral) and stakeholder engagement skills
  • the ability to quickly build lasting, trusted relationships with our team and clients, impeccable soft skills and emotional intelligence to understand and adapt to changing situations quickly (and keep up with a fast-paced environment)
  • reliable attention to detail
  • a growth mindset, underpinned by a willingness to learn and admit mistakes
  • a relentless focus on quality thinking and problem-solving
  • willingness to participate, support and encourage teammates
  • experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • a flexible, friendly, proactive, and fun attitude
  • [for senior consultants] experience delivering successful projects on behalf of clients, including managing small projects/ leading workstreams
  • [added advantage] experience in strategy design, operating model review, program evaluation, service delivery improvement; and/or public sector, procurement or property advisory experience.

We are proud to be Great Places to Work Certified three years in a row and Australian Business Awards ‘Employer of Choice’ two years in a row. Our environment is fun and collaborative, and whilst the expectation is for people to be in the office three days a week, most are in four to five.
