Consultant/Senior Consultant Canberra

We’re looking for you to join our team at our Consultant or Senior Consultant level.
To give some insights, our consulting personnel typically work in project teams of 2-4 people and across multiple projects simultaneously:
- at the Consultant level you will play an active role in the successful delivery of client projects by supporting the project team as required. This includes completing tasks such as research and analysis and supporting client consultation and developing of deliverables
- as a Senior Consultant you continue to support projects as per the description for the Consultant level, with increased autonomy and responsibility for delivering elements of the client projects and owning some of the client relationship
- as a Consultant or Senior Consultant, you will be well supported throughout the delivery of projects by Project Managers and Project Directors who are ultimately accountable for the success of each project
- all consulting staff are responsible for educating and nurturing less experienced staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
- supporting and contributing to the successful delivery of projects for high profile clients from banks to public sector agencies
- managing your own workload, including capacity forecasting and being accountable for the work you deliver
- providing support, input and quality thinking to the development of:
- project planning documents such as project plans and stakeholder plans
- project deliverables such as writing plans, reports, analysis and presentations
- undertaking analysis and/or research in relation to project deliverables
- liaising with clients and/or stakeholders to build rapport and trust
- reporting to the Project Manager and/or Project Director and engaging at critical points in the project for guidance, direction and quality assurance
Qualifications and skills
- highly regarded: >2 years of procurement experience
- highly regarded: a tertiary qualification
- strong communication (both written and oral) and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience consulting with individuals from a range of backgrounds
- strong attention to detail and excellent writing skills (experience with external-facing report writing will be highly regarded)
- being organised and resilient, including experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- the ability to quickly build lasting, trusting relationships with our team and clients, demonstrating impeccable soft skills and emotional intelligence to quickly understand and adapt to changing situations
- the desire and commitment for continual learning and personal development, underpinned by a willingness to learn and admit mistakes
- strong problem solving and critical and analytical thinking skills combined with a relentless focus on Quality Thinking
