Moore expands Brisbane presence with arrival of Nexia team

Global accounting and advisory network Moore has strengthened its presence in Australia with the hire of Nexia’s team in Brisbane.
The addition of the Nexia team will see 7 partners and around 70 professionals join Moore’s Queensland and Northern New South Wales business, lifting its headcount to 26 partners and 225 team members.
Ann-Maree Robertson, the Managing Director of Nexia in Brisbane, said joining the rival network will “allows us to further enhance our client service offering, ultimately supporting them further with their needs.”

Both nationally and globally, Moore is (slightly) larger than Nexia. In Australia, post the Brisbane deal, Moore has over 650 staff, while Nexia drops to around 500. Globally, Moore’s lead is notable larger, with around 37,000 people compared to Nexia’s 26,000. Both professional services firms have offices in 100+ countries.

In 2023, Moore members firms closed deals with Quay Associates (Perth) and ProAdvice (Geelong).
