Global consultancy firm Arthur D. Little formally kick-offs Australian expansion

Global management consultancy Arthur D. Little has officially announced its expansion into the Australian practice.
Consulting industry veteran Franco Santucci, together with former EY director Andrew Sampson, have been laying the ground-work for an expansion in Melbourne since July, with the office now welcoming Sandro Voegeli as principal and senior advisor Richard Song.
Now a part of Arthur D. Little, Voegeli founded sustainability advisory Energise Partners alongside Santucci after a period at the Big Four, while Song brings an investment banking background and is the founder of Goliath Capital Consulting.
“Led by Franco, our new team brings deep experience and proven expertise in the energy sector to our Australian office, enabling us to expand our practice to meet the needs of a major local industry undergoing radical change,” stated ADL’s global energy & utilities practice leader Michael Kruse, who added that the consultancy had ambitious plans to further grow its local numbers.

Prior to establishing Energise Partners, Voegeli also spent time with Santucci at EY-Parthenon, where he served as a senior manager across four years at the Big Four firm before briefly moving on to Deloitte as a corporate strategy director. The earlier part of his career was spent at Swiss International Airlines, including time as a senior project coordinator.
Andrew Sampson
Voegeli will work alongside fellow principal Andrew Sampson, who joined ADL in July after previously spending seventeen years at Ernst & Young, with earlier stints at Mayne Pharma and Deloitte. In addition to energy and mining sector expertise, he brings experience in transformation, supply chain strategy, and profit improvement in the FMCG & retail sectors among others.
Richard Song
Song meanwhile joins the team in Melbourne as a senior advisor. Prior to establishing corporate finance & strategy advisory Goliath in 2022, Song spent over a decade in financial modelling, analysis, and capital raising for the likes of J.P. Morgan and Citi along with buy-side outfits HRL Morrison and ESR, where he was involved in some of Australia’s largest transactions.
“The Australian energy sector is undergoing unprecedented change, driven by decarbonisation and the rise of renewable energy, and this is dramatically reshaping the industry and company strategies,” stated Santucci. “I look forward to working with our new team, and the wider global energy practice at Arthur D. Little, to help our clients seize the opportunities that this transformation brings.”
