Rimkus expands Asia Pacific business with acquisition of Hinds Blunden
Global consulting firm Rimkus has expanded its presence in Asia Pacific with the acquisition of Hinds Blunden, an Australian boutique offering specialised services to the construction and engineering industry.
The firm’s first acquisition since its post-summer rebranding as Rimkus, the addition of Hinds Blunden expands its business in Australia with a team of senior experts in project management, commercial advisory and forensic analysis in the built environment. From its base in Melbourne, Hinds Blunden also works for clients internationally, with its track record stretching across New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East.
Jonathan Higgins, President and CEO of Rimkus, said: “This partnership fits very well with our overall strategy to grow our consulting and expert service practice areas throughout the Asia Pacific region.”
Founded in the US in 1983, Rimkus is a global provider of engineering and technical consulting to corporations, insurance companies, law firms, and government agencies. The firm specialises in forensic consulting, dispute resolution and project management solutions across the project life cycle
On Hinds Blunden becoming part of the consulting team, Higgins said: “Hinds Blunden is a distinguished delay and quantum services provider, well established and recognized in the market for its excellent reputation and professional expertise. We could not be more excited about what this partnership means for the employees and clients of both companies.”
“We are confident this acquisition will benefit our clients and stakeholders, driving growth and innovation for our business,” added Frank Luongo, Vice President for Mergers & Acquisitions Integration at Rimkus.
The deal comes within a year of Rimkus landing a major capital investment from an American private equity group. With the backing of HGGC, Rimkus aims to accelerate its growth trajectory.
“This is the first acquisition for Rimkus in over two years, marking a significant milestone in our journey to enhance our market presence in the Asia Pacific region and improve client engagement,” said Luongo.
Meanwhile, for Hinds Blunden, the joining of forces with the global consulting firm will enable the boutique to expand its impact to both clients and staff. “We look forward to collaborating with the Rimkus team of seasoned and established experts who share their commitment to delivering exceptional client service,” stated the firm in a release.
Earlier this year, Rimkus was named one of Australia’s top consulting firms for forensic and construction services.
