Business and technology consultancy Business Aspect has recruited Luke McLean to its Sydney leadership team as an account executive for NSW, adding two decades of ICT industry experience.

McLean crosses from global multi-cloud tech services company Rackspace, where he served as a regional director for A/NZ, and boasts a lengthy senior leadership resume dating back more than twenty years to Dimension Data.

Led by general manager Peter Jarrett, Business Aspect has a team of more than 100 professionals spread across the country. The consultancy has been a subsidiary of Data#3 since 2014, which is in turn part of the Global IT Alliance.

In addition to Rackspace Technology, where he focused on sales, ‘go-to-market’ and a professional services-led strategy in the US-based company’s push to expand its regional presence, McLean has served in senior roles for a range of high-profile local and international technology firms, including Veritas, Brennan IT, and Thomas Duryea ahead of its 2014 sale to Logicalis.

Prior to his past fifteen months at Rackspace, McLean spent a similar period driving the Australian expansion of Singapore-based multi-cloud managed services provider Xtremax, before which he was chief business officer for local MSP TransAction Solutions (TAS) and a director of consulting services for Veritas. Earlier, he served as consulting & services general manager at Brennan IT.

Announcing McLean’s appointment, Business Aspect stated; “Luke brings a strong track record of helping organisations achieve their strategic goals and navigate complex technology challenges to deliver measurable outcomes. With a consultative approach, Luke is dedicated to partnering with clients across government, education, healthcare, and utilities to drive growth and transformation.”

Established in 2005, Business Aspect’s team of ‘strategists, disruptive thinkers, architects, and analysts’ support organisations in their performance improvement agendas through a broad range of strategy, architecture, control, planning, and design services grouped around four core lines; digital & ICT advisory, transformation & governance, cybersecurity & risk, and information & analytics.
