Lisa Fortey takes on country lead role for Logicalis in Australia

The Australian branch of global technology services and consulting firm Logicalis has tapped Lisa Fortey as its acting country head to cover the departure of CEO Anthony Woodward.
A veteran ICT industry entrepreneur, Woodward has been in the top role for the past three and a half years after joining in mid-2021, while Fortey joined the consulting firm a decade ago and has most recently served as national sales director.
The handover comes as Logicalis, which rebadged from Thomas Duryea Logicalis in 2021 following its earlier purchase of the local consultancy, integrates with the firm’s Asia operations to form a new Asia Pacific branch.
“As part of the ongoing consolidation of the Australia business into Logicalis APAC, I finish up my role as CEO this month,” Woodward stated. “I’m excited by the possibilities that the more integrated business presents to this market, bringing a powerhouse of 1600-plus professionals and an exhaustive portfolio of innovative product and service offerings to truly compete.”
Logicalis, which is headquartered in the UK and a subsidiary of Datatec (the former owner of TMT consultancy Analysys Mason) said upon its formation last year that the new APAC unit would have combined revenues upwards of $350 million across its ten countries. The practice is led by CEO Chong-Win Lee, who Fortey will now report directly to as acting Australia country head.
Based out of Melbourne, Fortey joined Logicalis in 2014 following three years as an account executive at Data#3, which had newly acquired technology consultancy Business Aspect around the time of departure. Earlier, she spent a decade between ICT companies Interactive, Pgi, and eKit, and has since joining Logicalis climbed the ranks from Victoria sales manager through to national director.
Next chapter
“It’s an incredible opportunity to lead and collaborate with an amazing team as we focus on driving growth and delivering innovative solutions to our customers,” Fortey said of her latest challenge, thanking her leaders and mentors over the past ten years. “I’m looking forward to this next chapter and to achieving great things together with our team, partners, and customers.”
In a post to LinkedIn, Fortey added that her priorities as country head would cover a number of areas, including a focus on strengthening relationships with partners and clients to deliver impactful business outcomes, growing Logicalis’s market presence by embracing transformation services and emerging technologies, and empowering the firm’s teams to innovate and thrive.
Speaking last year on the launch of the Asia Pacific practice, global CEO Bob Bailkoski stated; “The goal for Logicalis is clear: to harness the collective strengths of the company’s diverse operations to drive innovation and growth throughout Australia, Asia, and the globe. This reorganisation represents a strategic response to the evolving IT landscape in the digital age.”
