Flagged at the time of its new year promotions, accounting and consulting firm BDO has now onboarded all five of its newest partnership recruits, who arrive from the Big Four and PKF.

Adding a century worth of combined experience, the recruits include Melbourne pair Luke Eason and Sohail Dossa from KPMG, Deloitte duo Mark Harrington and Peter Horsman in Adelaide, and Sam Pickard from PKF in Brisbane.

“Their extensive experience will enhance our service offerings and support our clients in navigating challenges in an increasingly complex environment,” BDO chief executive partner Tony Schiffmann said in welcoming them to the team.

Luke Eason
Eason joins BDO’s technology risk team in Melbourne after more than two decades at KPMG in Australia and the UK. Among other areas, he brings extensive experience in technology audit and risk management, IT governance, and cybersecurity, with a focus on sectors such telecommunications, media & technology, power & utilities, and healthcare.

“I’m delighted to confirm my new role leading BDO’s risk advisory services team in Melbourne,” Eason stated. “It’s energising to be part of a firm that has risk advisory services as a core part of its strategic agenda. I thank everyone in BDO for the incredibly warm welcome so far, and look forward to an exciting time as we execute on our growth plan together.”

Sohail Dossa
Already on board since late last year, Dossa also joined BDO’s risk advisory services partnership in Melbourne after more than two decades at KPMG between South Africa and Australia, the latter where he had been a partner for the past five years. A technology risk & transformation expert, Dossa currently focuses on the state government and education sectors.

Peter Horsman
Horsman crosses after most recently serving as a risk & controls intelligence principal in the Adelaide office of Deloitte, where he altogether spent a decade across two stints with additional time in Sydney and an eighteen month spell in between as an internal audit manager at TransGrid. He holds an accounting degree from the University of South Australia.

Mark Harrington
Adelaide-based colleague Mark Harrington joins the firm as a project & infrastructure advisory partner, having been with Deloitte for the past eight years. Harrington previously served as Arup’s head of project & corporate finance out of the UK among other roles across his two-and-a-half-decade career, which further includes six years at PwC in London.

Sam Pickard
Bringing a broad skill-set in accounting and advisory across numerous sectors, including property & construction, Pickard becomes a partner in BDO’s business services team in Brisbane after being made a partner at PKF at the beginning of last year.

Prior to joining PKF from Deloitte in 2018, Pickard spent more than a decade between Moore Stephens and PwC.
