Create Advisory recruits Kylee Anastasi as NSW managing director
Create Advisory has recruited former KPMG infrastructure partner Kylee Anastasi as its new managing director for New South Wales, adding 25 years worth of experience.
Kylee Anastasi crosses to Create Advisory after the past two and a half years at KPMG, before which she was a managing director at Accenture and partner at PwC across a local and international consulting career dating back to the start of the century.
Established by former Sayers (now Tenet) partner Nicole Scurrah in mid-2023, Create has since landed several high-profile recruits, including former Melbourne lord mayor Sally Capp as CEO and ex-Deloitte healthcare boss Luke Baxby to head a specialist practice.
“Kylie brings deep experience delivering city-shaping programs and projects across Australia and globally, driving the strategy, planning, procurement, and financing of infrastructure and urban renewal,” the firm stated. “Her extensive experience is complemented by senior leadership roles, where she was responsible for launching new businesses in emerging and dynamic markets.”
An economics graduate of the University of Melbourne, Anastasi kicked off her senior career with a four-year stint at Goldman Sachs, before a brief stint as an analyst with the Victorian state government and her first taste of consulting as an associate director at Ernst & Young, From there, she spent time at the World Bank, before joining PwC as a director in Washington.
Seven and a half years later she returned with the firm as a partner in Sydney, before switching to Accenture in 2012 and then to KPMG as an infrastructure, assets & places partnership recruit one year on. Previously a core focus during the post-pandemic boom times, most of the Big Four infrastructure practices have since fizzled, with their partners scattering elsewhere.
Alongside the likes of KordaMentha, Alvarez & Marsal and Ashurst and among others, Create Advisory is one of the consultancies looking to capitalise on the gap, launching in 2023 with a focus on providing strategic, commercial and technical advisory for major projects in the transport, energy, property, and urban development sectors, together with a specialist healthcare line.
“I recently made the decision to embark on a new chapter and I’m excited to join Create Advisory in my new role with as managing director for NSW,” Anastasi said on LinkedIn, with her bio stating: “I’m dedicated to creating a collaborative culture across organisations and within teams, as well as driving consensus across multiple stakeholders through genuine engagement.”
