BCG promotes five to managing director and partner in Australia
Boston Consulting Group has kicked off the year with at least five new managing directors and partners in Australia, covering its various practices and offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
Private infrastructure leader Andrew Aston steps up to managing director and partner in Melbourne, alongside office colleague Edzard Wesselink, who leads Boston Consulting Group’s risk & compliance services for financial sector clients.
Also elevated in Melbourne is Andreas Keller, a member of BCG’s digital & operations team, while public sector and technology partner Daniel Baker has been promoted in Sydney. Rounding out the list is Kim Kennewell in Perth, a senior leader within BCG X.
Andrew Asten
Asten has been with BCG across two stints since 2012, split by time with NBN Co and as a senior government advisor. He presently leads the strategy consultancy’s private infrastructure segment for A/NZ and is a member of the firm’s transformation and operations teams, covering large capital projects, transport, telecommunications, defence and retail among other areas.
Edzard Wesselink
Wesselink joined BCG in the Netherlands in 2013, and arrived downunder five year on with further time spent with the firm’s Henderson Institute think-tank in San Francisco. He serves banking and insurance clients across the Asia Pacific and other geographies, with expertise in risk & compliance – leading the local segment – as well as operations, operating models, and organisational design.
Andreas Keller
Keller meanwhile started out with BCG in Germany, joining in 2016 following seven and a half years working up to vice president at Deutsche Bank. He has been with the firm in Melbourne since the start of 2022, and specialises in operations, digital & CX transformation, and agile delivery, with a continued focus on the financial services sector and retail banking segment.
Daniel Baker
A senior leader within the public sector & technology practice, and a founding member of the firm’s Center for Digital Government, Baker joined BCG in 2017 following eight years at Accenture. In addition to providing technology strategy and transformation advisory to government, Baker has also served clients in the consumer goods, retail and telecommunications sectors among others.
Kim Kennewell
Lastly, Kennewell joined BCG Gamma in 2019 following the firm’s full purchase of The Simulation Group, where he was general manager, before the AI and advanced analytics wing was folded into BCG X three years ago. With a focus on digital operations transformation, he now becomes the sixth managing director and partner based in BCG’s recently relocated Perth office.
