International technology consultancies pick Australia for Asia Pacific expansion
Two international technology consultancies have chosen Australia for their Asia Pacific expansions, with ITC Infotech launching a digital hub in Melbourne and Beyond Key opening a Sydney office.
Based out of Bangalore, ITC Infotech is a subsidiary of tobacco giant ITC Limited which was set up in 2000. The tech consultancy claims a global headcount in excess of 10,000 employees, and said its new digital hub in Melbourne would double as its Asia-Pacific headquarters.
Meanwhile, Chicago-headquartered technology consultancy Beyond Key has expanded into Australia via an office in Sydney. Established in 2005 and focused on the Microsoft suite, the company has a team of more than 350 technicians, who are mostly based in India.
ITC Infotech
ITC has been eyeing the Australian market for at least the past two years since acquiring cloud consultancy Blazecan, but has now officially entered with the launch of a digital & AI engineering hub in Melbourne, which will have a strong focus on agribusiness innovation and serve as ITC’s Asia Pacific headquarters, with plans of hiring up to 150 employees over the next three years.
In line with its parent, which is ranked as the second-largest FMCG entity in India and the world’s third-largest tobacco company, ITC Infotech, alongside its deep expertise across the agricultural chain, also has strengths in packaged goods, retail, and manufacturing among other areas, with capabilities spanning product engineering, cloud, data & AI, and platform-based solutions.
“We believe that there are significant opportunities to partner with Australian enterprises as they advance their digital, sustainability, and growth agendas,” said CEO Manas Chakraborty. “With APAC operations being led from Melbourne, ITC Infotech is well-positioned to further elevate our customer-centric approach and accelerate innovation and impact for clients across the region.”
Beyond Key
Founded by CEO Piyush Goel, Beyond Key offers a range of solutions across AI, data & analytics, cloud, and engineering, with a particular focus on the healthcare, finance, retail, and manufacturing sectors and expertise in Microsoft’s 365, Dynamics, SharePoint, and Fabric platforms among others. Having recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, Beyond Key now arrives in Australia.
Citing a growing local demand for faster execution and long-term technology partnerships, the consultancy said its new office in Parramatta in Sydney’s west would enhance its ability to serve clients in Australia and further afield across the Asia Pacific on their tech transformations, with Abilash Balan to lead its development as local head of growth and marketing.
“Australia represents a strategic growth market where organisations are accelerating digital transformation while seeking partners who combine global expertise with a deep understanding of local business dynamics,” Balan said. “By establishing a dedicated presence in the region, we are better positioned to build closer partnerships and respond with greater agility to evolving market demands.”
