KordaMentha appoints former banking executive Paul Riordan as Senior Advisor

KordaMentha has appointed experienced banking and governance leader Paul Riordan as a Senior Advisor in its Sydney office, strengthening the firm’s senior capability across complex financial, risk and governance engagements.

Paul Riordan brings more than four decades of experience across corporate governance, risk management, financial markets, treasury and payments infrastructure to KordaMentha.

Throughout his career, he has held senior executive roles across major banking institutions both internationally and in Australia, including Chief Risk Officer at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and Group Chief Credit & Market Risk Officer at National Australia Bank.

Riordan is currently a Non-Executive Independent Director of Bank of Queensland and a Non-Executive Independent Director of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA), where he also contributes across key governance and risk committees.

Based in Sydney, Riordan will work with KordaMentha’s leadership team on client matters where deep governance, financial risk and strategic oversight experience is critical.
