Scyne Advisory relocates to new offices in Brisbane and Sydney

Scyne Advisory’s break-up with PwC is almost complete, in a symbolic sense, with now only Adelaide to go after the firm recently moved on from its offices in Sydney and Brisbane.

In a story familiar to many broken relationships in today’s economy, otherwise-separated couples are often forced to continue to co-habitate under the single roof, as has been the case for Scyne since it broke away from PwC and relaunched in late-2024.

Slowly however, the firm has been asserting its independence, moving on from sublets in Melbourne, Canberra and Perth while setting up its own digs in Darwin. Now, new offices in Sydney and Brisbane can be added to that list, with only Adelaide to come.

Scyne’s new Brisbane office is located on level 19 of the ‘Blue Tower’ at 12 Creek Street, about a ten-minute walk from PwC, while the firm also recently moved into new offices in Sydney, at Level 16, 83 Clarence Street, also a short stroll from PwC’s Australian headquarters at One International Towers in Barangaroo – where it will be staying put for now after extending its lease in 2024.

“Our new offices present a positive, engaging environment for our teams – a new ‘home’ that is creating new relationships and connections,” said chief people officer Fiona Glendinning, who doesn’t carry the baggage of the split in only joining the firm last year. “The new spaces have brought a fresh energy and attitude, reflecting our independence and positive focus on the future.”

The launch of the Scyne’s Brisbane office – which was reported as being 1,088 square meters on a ten-year lease and given a custom flexible fit to maximise space for collaboration and support hybrid working – was marked by a blessing ceremony, with its meeting rooms given names from the local Indigenous language group; Birra, Balumbir, Durun, Mirregen, and Yugari.

Chris Rogan, managing director at Scyne Advisory and lead for Queensland & Northern Territory, who previously spent close to two decades at PwC, described the move into its own space as “a big milestone” and “the last piece of the puzzle”, while the firm also expects to move on from its base at PwC’s 100 King William Street address in Adelaide in October later this year.
