Vincents makes three mid-year partnership promotions in Brisbane

Professional services firm Vincents has made three partnership promotions to kick off its new financial year, while three individuals have also been elevated to director and associate director.

Demonstrating the differing paths to the top of the Vincents ladder, forensics professional Daniel Hains has been with the firm for close to two and a half decades, while Amir Mirshams joined the firm’s CFO advisory team in the middle of last year from PwC.

Shannon Walker, the third of Brisbane-based partnership promotions and also a forensics specialist, completes the ‘Goldilocks’ set, coming up on his one-decade anniversary, while James Devereux steps up to director and Alex Liu and Arna Foldi become associate directors.

Daniel Hains
The leader of the firm’s forensics technology and e-discovery division, Hains joined Vincents in Brisbane as a senior accountant in 2002 (such that he’s now been with the consultancy for two thirds of its existence) after earlier completing a commerce degree with the University of Queensland and gaining experience in business analysis in Australia and abroad.

Shannon Walker
Forensics colleague Shannon Walker meanwhile joined the firm in 2016, after a business accounting bachelors at Australian Catholic University and close to a decade between two Brisbane-based insolvency & restructuring boutiques. He specialises in business valuation reports, used as expert evidence for family law, taxation, restructuring, and other litigation matters.

Amir Mirshams
Now a partner within the firm’s business advisory division, Mirshams came to Vincents via PwC in the middle of last year, having also spent three years with the Big Four firm in New Zealand after starting out in audit & assurance. A PhD-holder in accounting, Mirshams now focuses on CFO advisory, supporting clients through a blend of technical expertise and commercial acumen.
