Australia’s restructuring & turnaround association ARITA names 2026 fellows
Australian restructuring & turnaround association ARITA has named its 2026 fellowship recipients during its recent national conference, recognising members for their contribution to the profession.
Among those to be made fellows include KPMG partners Gayle Dickerson and Amanda Coneyworth, Deloitte’s Travis Anderson, KordaMentha partner David Johnstone, Vincents director Ashley Leslie, and SV Partners pair Joshua Robb and Matthew Ormsby.
ARITA is Australia’s peak professional body for the local restructuring & turnaround industry, with more than 2,300 members nationwide. First established in 1931, the organisation provides training & education, thought leadership, advocacy, policy input, and ethical frameworks.
Gayle Dickerson
Now president of fellow industry association TMA, Dickerson’s career dates back two and a half decades to Grant Thornton in the UK. She then spent time with the firm in Sydney before landing at KPMG, where she has served as deals tax & legal COO and most recently been tapped to take on Stan Stavros’ deals & infrastructure portfolio while he attends to other matters as interim CEO.
Amanda Coneyworth
A regular presenter and industry thought-leader, Sydney-based Coneyworth boasts over two decades of corporate restructuring and insolvency experience, with particular expertise in the real estate & construction and education sectors. She first joined Ferrier Hodgson in 2004 before switching to KPMG upon its 2019 acquisition and being admitted as a partner in 2022.
Travis Anderson
Anderson joined Deloitte in Tasmania in 2005 and now leads the firm’s turnaround & restructuring practice in the state along with South Australia and the Northern Territory, having been a partner for the past decade. He serves clients in the agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing, transport, education, and tourism sectors on restructuring & turnaround matters as well as performance improvement.
David Johnstone
Johnstone kicked off his career as an accountant at KPMG in 2008 before spending time at Vincents and NAB and arriving at KordaMentha five years on, ultimately joining its restructuring partnership in Brisbane in 2023. Recent career highlights have included work to rescue crypto exchange Digital Surge following the collapse of FTX, for which his team won a ‘Blockie’ award.
Ashley Leslie
Promoted to partner at the start of last year, Leslie first joined Vincents in its Brisbane headquarters in 2012 after five years at Bentleys and earlier insolvency experience dating back to 2003. A registered liquidator and bankruptcy trustee, she supports both business and personal clients with experience in administration, corporate accounting, and receiverships among other areas.
Joshua Robb
Robb is a director with SV Partners in Sydney & Newcastle, coming up on his ten-year anniversary with the insolvency specialists after more than a decade at Shaw Gidley and PKF dating back to 2005. He provides a broad range of restructuring and insolvency support to cross-sector corporate and personal clients, and currently serves as ARITA’s regional country chairman for NSW.
Matthew Ormsby
Also a director at SV Partners, Ormsby joined the firm as part of a team from BRI Ferrier upon SV’s expansion to Adelaide in 2019, having previously spent more than a decade at BRI from graduation. Now leading his own team, Ormsby specialises in voluntary administrations and personal insolvency agreements with experience in sectors such as construction and healthcare.

Also receiving ARITA fellowships this year from smaller advisories and law firms were Glenn Livingstone (WLP Restructuring); Alan Hayes (Hayes Advisory); Andrew Langshaw (Duncan Powell); Ben Renfrey (Johnson Winter Slattery); David Colovic (LK Law); Robert McKenzie, (Blackwall Legal); and recently-appointed ARITA professional practice director Melissa Jeremiah.
