Findex makes three appointments in its executive team
National accounting and advisory firm Findex has updated its C-suite through the appointments of Jamie Irvine, Julian Maloney and Nicholas Mylonas.
Maloney has served as chief operations officer for the past three and a half years and now becomes chief client officer, with Irvine takin over his role having previously served as head for professional services & advice. Meanwhile, Nicholas Mylonas moves into a newly-created chief talent role.
“These appointments highlight the depth of experience within Findex,” the firm stated. “As we continue to grow, we’re strengthening that commitment by backing leaders who’ve helped build strong teams and long‑standing client relationships across the business.”
Jamie Irvine
Based in Victoria, Irvine has spent close to two and a half decades at Findex and its predecessor Crowe Horwath (which was acquired back in 2015). Previously managing partner for Murray Darling, he was appointed executive head for wealth in 2022, before last year leading the integration of the firm’s wealth, accounting, audit, and advisory teams into a unified practice.
“Bringing strong technical expertise, commercial insight, and a practical leadership style, Jamie has shaped how we operate throughout Australia and New Zealand, working closely with our teams and clients every step of the way,” Findex stated. “His deep understanding of how the business fits together ensures clients receive consistent, reliable support wherever they are.”
Julian Maloney
Irvine effectively replicates the CV of Maloney’s, who also came through Crowe (which remains a global affiliate) in the Murray Darling, was executive managing partner for Findex’s ‘West Region’, and served as executive head of wealth before being appointed chief operating officer in mid-2022. He now moves into the chief client role, ensuring connected and seamless support.
“Julian has spent years working across Findex as COO and in other senior positions, seeing firsthand what clients value and where they need us the most,” the firm said. “His new role brings those insights together, and his experience provides a strong foundation for connecting strategic direction with practical execution and ensuring clients receive high‑quality, coordinated advice.”
Nicholas Mylonas
Melbourne-based, Mylonas’ time at Findex meanwhile dates back decades, including as CIO. Post-acquisition, he served as chairman of the executive committee, and since 2020 chief stakeholder officer, as well as chief director of procurement & property. His appointment to the newly-created role of chief talent officer was described as a natural extension of his recent duties.
“As a long serving leader within Findex, Nick has held a diverse range of senior roles, giving him deep insight into the organisation’s strategy, operations and challenges,” the firm said. “His new focus will be on attracting, developing and retaining the people who deliver for our clients every day, ensuring our talent strategy continues to support the way we work.”
Executive team
Other members of the Findex executive team include founder Spiro Paule, co-CEO’s Tony Roussos and Matt Games, Dan Dale as CFO (replacing the recently-departed Lianne Bolton in the middle of last year), andchief people officer Kath Nell. Meanwhile, former tax advisory managing partner John Baillie now serves as Crowe’s regional executive director for the Asia Pacific.
