PKF adds Luke Storey and Pritesh Parmar to Australian partnership
The Newcastle branch of accounting and advisory firm PKF has promoted Luke Storey to partner, while Pritesh Parmar has been recruited from PwC as a partner in Melbourne.
An all-rounder based out of Newcastle, Storey steps up to partner within PKF’s business advisory division after close to a decade at the firm, while Parmer joins the firm’s Victorian audit & assurance team following fifteen years spent at PwC in Australia and the UK.
Luke Storey
Storey spent seven years at accounting boutique Bishop Collins prior to joining PKF in 2017, and now supports businesses of all sizes and sectors throughout the Hunter and beyond – from family-owned enterprises to large corporate groups – with a broad range of expertise, including business advisory, taxation, restructuring, financial reporting, strategic planning, and growth.
“Luke’s promotion is a reflection of his expertise, leadership and the trusted relationships he has built with clients and colleagues alike,” said fellow Newcastle-based business advisory partner David Jamieson. “He is highly regarded by both our clients and team, and his promotion demonstrates PKF’s commitment to recognising and developing outstanding talent.”
Speaking of his promotion in turn, Storey said that he was incredibly proud to now be a partner; “Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about helping clients achieve their business and personal goals. PKF has provided me with the opportunity to work alongside talented people, support remarkable businesses, and contribute to the growth of our community.”
Pritesh Parmar
Meanwhile, Parmar crosses to PKF as an audit & assurance partner in Melbourne after spending more than a decade and a half at PwC, originally joining the Big Four firm in Nottingham in the UK in 2010 before transferring to Australia six years on. He brings what PKF describes as a unique combination of audit, assurance, CFO advisory, and finance transformation expertise.
“Great firms are built by great people, and Prit brings outstanding technical capability, commercial insight, and a genuine commitment to developing those around him,” said joint audit & assurance head Kenneth Weldin. “His appointment strengthens our audit practice today while also supporting our ambition for tomorrow, and we look forward to the impact he’ll make.”
On his decision to join, Parmar said he was particularly drawn to PKF’s culture; “The energy and enthusiasm behind a desire to do great work for clients, leadership that is values-driven where the team’s experiences are put at the forefront of how they go about their business, and a mindset that doesn’t sit still means I have the opportunity and encouragement to make a real impact.”
