Tricor Group promotes Richard Beattie to CEO for Australia
Global business expansion consultancy Tricor Group has appointed Richard Beattie as its CEO for Australia. Beattie, who formerly worked for Big Four accounting and advisory firm PwC, will report to global Tricor CEO Lennard Yong in his new role.
Beattie has been part of Tricor Group since 2003, when he left his role as Tax Specialist at PwC. He has since then grown into an integral member of the firm’s leadership, taking up key positions internationally. In 2013, he was appointed the Director of Business Services at Tricor in Hong Kong, where the company is headquartered.
Having developed a wide variety of expertise and a strong relationship with clients, Beattie has now been elevated to chief executive officer for the firm’s Australian division. He assumes full responsibility for the business, including commercial development and offerings to clients, project delivery, internal operations, and human resources and talent management.
Headquartered in Hong Kong, Tricor Group has operations across 21 countries, with a strong focus on the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The firm specialises in growth and international expansion strategies, leveraging its broad knowledge of varying markets to develop entry and growth plans for its clients. The company employs 2,600 consultants and staff.
Some of Tricor’s specific services include business, corporate and investor consulting, human resource management & payroll services, as well as corporate trust & debt services.
In Australia, Tricor supports international companies establishing in the country with accounting, payroll, company secretarial and tax compliance services. The Sydney-based firm also offers services including immigration advice, transactions support and business advisory.
Australia is emerging as one of the strongest economies in the APAC region, and a number of large businesses are looking to establish a base in the country. Within Australia, business leaders are currently riding a wave of positive sentiment, with a willingness to invest in growth. Against this backdrop, Beattie aims at expanding Tricor’s footprint in the country.

Dormer served Tricor Australia for over four decades, working with some 500 businesses during this period.
