RSM Consulting promotes Adrian Gardiner and Jacob Elkhishin
Accounting and consulting firm RSM has at the start of this year added two new partners to its Consulting practice: Adrian Gardiner and Jacob Elkhishin.
Melbourne-based Adrian Gardiner joined RSM just three months ago from Deloitte, where he was a partner in the firm’s Finance and Performance practice, a service line within Deloitte Consulting. Before that, he worked six years for boutique consulting firm Achemar, eight years for international impact consultancy Palladium in its Brisbane office, and four years for the consulting arms of KPMG and PwC.
At RSM Consulting, Gardiner is a partner in the firm’s Digital Transformation practice, specialised in digital strategy, the delivery of technology-led business transformation and performance improvement, and delivering emerging technologies such as data analytics and artificial intelligence.
He also brings deep expertise in finance planning, budgeting & forecasting, and performance management, including with the implementation of Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions. Gardiner complements his digital and financial expertise with programme management, governance and change management capabilities.
Gardiner works across a broad range of sectors, with a focus on education, government and healthcare.
Jacob Elkhishin has been promoted to partner in RSM’s Risk Consulting division, based in Brisbane. He has ascended the ranks at the professional services firm from entry level, having joined RSM in 2004 after graduating from Melbourne’s La Trobe University.
Elkhishin has over 15 years of experience in the provision of internal audit, enterprise risk management, compliance audit, and environmental assurance services working with both public and private sectors. He also has experience with management consulting and business process improvement engagements, as well as project assurance.
Over the past years, he has assisted clients in the energy industry (electricity, oil & gas), transport, infrastructure and the public sector. He among others conducted numerous assurance projects on emissions reporting, was part of several assessments of compliance with ACCC undertakings, and led the delivery of internal audit programmes at various organisations.
The partner appointments are part of a wider intake, with six other partners appointed: Rafael Morillo Maldonado (Assurance & Advisory), Mitchell Herrett (Restructuring & Recovery), Ralph Martin (National Technical), Paul Joseph (National IT and Operations), Xiaowen Shi (China Practice Group) and David Mutton (Restructuring & Recovery).
Meanwhile, in Perth, RSM promoted Kym Carmody to Principal level in its Business Advisory division. She specialises in business advisory and taxation services for small to medium size businesses, assisting clients with business plans, compliance, succession planning and restructuring.
Across Australia, RSM has over 1,200 staff based in 30 offices, led by over 100 partners.
