Sourced promotes consulting head Tim Baguley to ANZ boss

Tim Baguley is the new Managing Director at the Australia & New Zealand practice of Sourced Group, a tech consulting firm with expertise in the cloud computing space. Baguley’s appointment comes amid a number of other appointments in the firm’s senior ranks.

Sourced Group is based out of Toronto, Canada, and the firm’s global presence extends to Singapore and Australia. Baguley has been heading the firm’s Consulting division in Australia for two years now, a role that he will now vacate to replace Salma Datenis at the helm of the firm in Australia.

Baguley has been at Sourced Group for nearly seven years now, having started as a Senior Consultant and Senior Architect. During this time, his specialty has been to help large enterprises with their transitions to cloud-based platforms, a topic that is seeing booming demand recently. According to one estimate, Australia’s cloud market is expected to reach a value of $11 billion by 2023.

His background lies in the software development space, which gives him a technical foundation to substantiate his tech advisory services. In his new role, he is tasked with managing Sourced Group’s operations across Australia and New Zealand, spanning all areas of the business including sales, business development, client delivery, internal operations and recruitment.

“I have been fortunate to have worked with Tim for a long time and he has advanced rapidly within Sourced. Having his perspective and experience on the executive team will be invaluable,” said Jonathan Sprinks, CEO of Sourced Group, on Baguley’s appointment. 

Baguley’s appointment is accompanied by a number of other shifts at the top of Sourced Group. Baguley’s predecessor Salma Datenis will now operate in an international capacity as Vice President of Operations, a role that has been specifically created for her. She will perform the role based out of Sydney.

Datenis has been at Sourced Group for more than four years now, having held a variety of roles including Cloud Infrastructure Architect and Head of Engineering.“Salma’s deep history with the company will allow her to identify the ‘Best of Sourced’ and nurture our unique culture as we grow,” said Sprinks.

As Baguley moves to occupy Datenis’ role, Baguley’s former Head of Consulting mandate will be taken up by Yuri Litvinov, a Principal Consultant who joined the firm in 2016. “Yuri has made a significant impact on the consulting practice since joining the company three-and-a-half years ago. His technical depth, pre-sales skills and leadership experience will ensure success in his new role,” said Sprinks.
