Deloitte has become the first consultancy in Asia Pacific to be elevated to Diamond level partner of UiPath. The move recognises Deloitte Consulting’s excellence in the software and robotic process automation space.

UiPath is a US-based firm specialised in automation software. The company supports companies of all sizes with automating transactional processes, helping them to not only increase the efficiency and quality of tasks, but also with freeing up resourcing that can be utilised across more value-adding tasks.

Businesses from a variety of sectors leverage UiPath solutions, and Deloitte is one of the advisory and implementation partners that support them through this process. Globally, Deloitte has been deploying UiPath software for a number of years, with more than 100 projects delivered worldwide. Thousands of Deloitte professionals have been trained in UiPath worldwide.

In the summer of last year, the two companies took their partnership to the next level, when Deloitte Consulting and UiPath announced an announced an alliance to also jointly develop solutions to clients. “Deloitte's commitment to RPA as a driver for the transformation of organisations is a strategic choice,” said Anthony Abbattista, a Principal at Deloitte Consulting.

Now, testimony to Deloitte’s track record in the APAC region (serving more than 200 UiPath customers), particularly in China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia, the Big Four firm has been named a Diamond partner – a first in the Asia Pacific consulting industry. Other UiPath partners include the likes of Abeam Consulting, Accenture, Atos, Capgemini, Guidehouse, KPMG and PwC.

Commenting on the partnership, John Pickering, a Partner in Deloitte Australia’s Robotics & Cognitive Automation practice, said: “We are very proud with this recognition and we continue to work closely together with UiPath on innovation and delivery.” Meanwhile, Deloitte is also a UiPath Learning Partner, which enables the firm to offer training and certification services to its clients.

Investing in robotisation

Developing digital capabilities has been a top priority in Deloitte’s strategy in recent years, in Australia as well as across the APAC market, where businesses of all sizes are starting to see the value of automation and other technological enhancements.

A significant share of this growth was achieved through inorganic growth, with six tech-driven acquisitions closed in the Australian market alone since the start of last year. This includes the acquisition of IoTium, a California-based network infrastructure development firm with expertise in connecting automated equipment to cloud-based applications.

“Our alliance with UiPath complements our digital capabilities, helping our clients to drive concrete business outcomes with an automation first mindset. Our rapid growth in recent years means we are the largest team in Australia dedicated to automation services,” said Pickering.

Vice President for Partners in the APAC region at UiPath Paul Kessler added, “Deloitte’s UiPath Diamond level partner status demonstrates capability throughout the automation lifecycle, from process discovery through to implementing automation and building it into their customers’ way of doing business. Their vision aligns with UiPath’s strategy for a digital workforce augmenting humans.”
