Sue Vander promoted to co-CEO of Jasco Consulting
Sue Vander has been promoted to co-CEO at Melbourne-based Jasco Consulting, joining founder Jason McClintock at the helm. McClintock will continue to manage tech, innovation and business development, while Vander takes responsibility for operational matters.
Vander’s responsibilities span finance and operations, which she will manage by leveraging a decade of experience at Jasco Consulting. She joined in 2010 as a business manager, and has been Operations & Finance Manager since 2014. She was named Executive Finance & Operations Manager in 2016.
Her previous work with Jasco has included managing cash flows and financial reports, as well as managing expenses and monitoring payments. Before joining the consultancy, Vander worked in business analysis and operations at highly illustrious firms, including the likes of Shell, BP and Creative Action.
McClintock founded Jasco Consulting in 1998 as an IT services firm, and has since overseen its growth into a 40-strong firm focused on cloud-based working and ICT consulting. The firm’s specialisation lies in Microsoft services and products, including cloud, security, Office 365, Skype, Teams and Azure.
Vander takes the helm at a time when the cloud and IT services market in Australia was already booming and undergoing a period of change earlier, and is navigating a whole new set of challenges under Covid-19 conditions. According to McClintock, Vander is a good fit to help steer Jasco’s clients through this tough period.
“Although this has been in planning for some time, with the current economic and social climate, now more than ever, it is essential to show strong leadership – which makes this timing perfect,” he said. Meanwhile, McClintock will now have more time to focus on the tech and innovation, among others.
Vander on her new challenge: “With the fast pace of change in the current social and economic environment it is important for the business to have a clear understanding of its value proposition, and where it will add to our customers. Times like this require great leadership at every level, and the team at Jasco is in a strong position to help see our customers through this uncertain time.”
