2XM Group launches consulting unit to support infrastructure projects
2XM Group has expanded its service offerings in Australia with the launch of a consulting business.
One of the 19 specialist brands of UK-headquartered TXM Group, 2XM Group has operated in the Australasia market for the past ten years, providing resourcing and project management expertise to the engineering and infrastructure sectors. The company has over 80 employees working from offices located in Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne.
2XM Group is now expanding its offering to include advisory services. The new wing will focus on the infrastructure domain, and serve private and government clients with the delivery of rail, transportation and other critical infrastructure projects. Key offerings of the unit include business improvement, PMO programme delivery and asset optimisation.
The fresh venture 2XM Consult is led by Mark Hughes, who was formerly managing director of global engineering and project management consultancy SNC-Lavalin. During his career, Hughes has worked with transport agencies, government departments and financiers to support major infrastructure projects in the UK, Malaysia, and Australia, such as Crossrail, Sydney Metro and Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Line 1.
2XM Consult is opening its doors with a state infrastructure project underway and ambitions to grow by offering solutions that draw on the expertise of its parent company, which has offices in the UK, US, and UAE.
Commenting on the launch, Hughes said, “2XM Consult will offer a smart approach for clients, tapping into the talent and skills of the international group we are part of. Not only do we have proven credentials in rail and critical infrastructure projects but we also have a wealth of consulting and technology experience that will allow us to provide digitally-enabled solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.”
