Marketing tech consultancy Triggerfish expands into the UK

Australia-based Triggerfish has expanded into the UK market, in what is the firm’s first overseas expansion move.

Founded in 2017 in Brisbane, Triggerfish is a marketing and technology consultancy that helps clients with customer experience improvement, marketing technology implementation and ongoing optimisation of digital marketing operations.

Ben Shapiro, CEO of Triggerfish and parent company, Rightscale Group, says that the agency’s expansion into the UK market is a strategic move to better service both local and international clients. “After securing two new international clients earlier in the year, we knew that the next step was to increase our international footprint and offer our services on a global scale.”

In May 2021, the agency announced its partnership with Independent Purchasing Cooperative, a Subway Franchisee-owned purchasing company responsible for the supply chains of more than 43,000 Subway restaurants globally. Triggerfish was also appointed the marketing technology consultancy of record for a major global fintech organisation specialising in direct debit and payment solutions, based in the US.

“Building a presence in the UK market has been in our plans for some time now, so it’s great to see them finally come to fruition. We can’t wait to see where the next few years takes us,” Shapiro says.

Leading the UK expansion is Oliver Brown, who has been appointed Head of UI Design. With more than ten years’ experience across design, digital and marketing, Brown has previously worked with major clients including Apple, Nokia, Ministry of Sound and the NHS. The newly established UK team now includes a Head of Design, developers, a cloud architect and sales executive.
