Asian cybersecurity consultancy Cybots launches in Australia
Asian cybersecurity consultancy and services company Cybots has entered the Australian market.
Founded in Singapore in 2018 – one of the world’s most prominent markets for cybersecurity – the 120-strong international cyber security firm (five offices across Asia) is launching in ANZ with its headquarters in Melbourne.
Cybots is on a mission to make cybersecurity easier, flexible and more affordable for every professional service business as the influx of cybercrime continues to grow across Australia and New Zealand.

The decision to launch the local market comes in response to the rise in cyber attacks Australia has seen in the past year, with cybercrimes costing the economy AUD $1 billion annually. In Australia, 87% of businesses believe they are safe from cyberattacks because they use antivirus software alone, yet 64% businesses have experienced disruption from cyber attacks.
Gary Denson, CEO and Country Manager of Cybots professional service businesses in Australia and New Zealand are at high risk for cyberattacks such as email phishing, malware, ransomware, denial of service or watering hole attacks. “The biggest challenge facing businesses is that modern cyber threats are usually well-hidden in their network,” he said.
