Gouws has also twice served as a director at PwC between 2008 and 2013, split by a short-lived stint as a partner in Deloitte’s assurance and advisory practice in Perth.

He most recently was a senior director in the M&A team of Deloitte Corporate Finance, where he led several digital infrastructure and technology, media and telecom engagements.

Earlier in his career, Ogilvy also served Big Four firms EY and KPMG. His sector knowledge further covers pharmaceuticals and healthcare, mining and energy, and financial services.

Anderson joins BDO after three and a half years as a Special Counsel with tax advisory Greenwoods & Herbert Smith Freehills (which was recently picked up by PwC), and will focus on financial services, venture capital and mergers & acquisitions. Earlier, he spent a decade as a partner at EY between Sydney and New York, the latter where he led the Australian tax desk.

Anderson was also a member of Deloitte’s partnership, during a nine-year stint at the firm.
