GHD installs Malcolm Rushin as Future Energy Leader for Australia
Global engineering consultancy GHD has promoted 20-year company veteran Malcolm Rushin to the newly created position of Future Energy Leader for Australia.
Malcolm Rushin has over three decades of experience in the energy, hazardous chemicals and oil & gas Industries in Australia and the UK, twenty of which he gained at GHD.
Most recently the firm’s Hydrogen Leader for Australia, Rushin made a significant impact as a trusted advisor helping clients understand their options for reducing their carbon footprint in the emerging hydrogen and future fuels space.
In his expanded role, Rushin will lead GHD’s clean energy offerings nationally, and help clients with their transition to a low carbon future. He will focus on six key sectors: energy generation, oil & gas, water, transportation, infrastructure, and the built environment.
He will leverage his extensive experience in the decarbonisation space. During his career he has led a significant number and variety of projects which have reduced greenhouse gas emissions and the carbon footprint of company operations. He is currently directing two major decarbonisation blue hydrogen related studies which have the potential to pave the way towards large scale export of hydrogen with a very low carbon footprint.
