Synergy promotes George Hlaing and Susanne Kennedy to partner
Synergy Group has promoted George Hlaing and Susanne Kennedy to partner, with the duo lifting the firm’s partnership to fifteen.
The new partners have both been with the professional services firm since early 2021. Hlaing is a member of Synergy Group’s Digital practice, while Kennedy is part of the Assurance practice.
“George and Susanne did not take long in their respective endeavours to establish themselves, their teams and Synergy Group, as trusted leaders. We are proud to reward them for the impact they have made within the firm and with our clients,” said Synergy Group’s CEO, Toni Marzulli.
Hlaing brings more than two decades of technology experience to the partnership, gained both in industry as well as in consulting. Prior to joining Synergy Group, he worked as a Cyber Security Risk, Data Privacy, and Assurance Lead across multiple Australian Federal Government agencies and an ERP and Cyber Security Program Manager at Capgemini, among others.
His experience covers cyber security, enterprise resource planning (with a focus on SAP), data centre migration, and cloud infrastructure transformation.
Marzulli: “George has a great leadership style. He has a people-first approach with a strong focus on solving process, data and technology problems. He is highly capable and provides frank and fearless advice to our clients. He is genuine and authentic: always displaying Synergy values when leading his team. We are excited to work with him at the partner level.”
Kennedy previously spent fifteen years at EY and served a boutique consultancy before joining Synergy Group. She specialises in enterprise risk assurance, risk management and project assurance services to central and local governments.
Marzulli: “Susanne has the unique ability to revel in complex client issues. She has a strong commitment to the delivery of high-quality outcomes for her clients, encapsulating Synergy’s ‘It’s Personal’ value with every encounter. We know Susanne will contribute a wealth of success to Synergy’s Assurance offering, with the complete support of her team, her clients and the partnership.”
Founded in 1999, Synergy Group is one of Australia’s leading consulting firms to the Commonwealth. The firm has over 600 staff.
