After leading Grosvenor for nine years, Peter Macfarlane has passed on the reins to Stefan Gassner.

“After so many years in the role, I think it is time for someone new to be driving our strategy and I strongly believe that Stefan will give Grosvenor the leadership to continue forging ahead to bigger and better things,” said Macfarlane

Founded in 1996, Grosvenor is a consulting firm that specialises in three lines of business: procurement advisory (to public and private sector clients), property advisory (to real estate groups and occupiers) and public sector advisory (to federal and local government agencies).

Newly installed boss Gassner has been with Grosvenor for almost 10 years and comes from the procurement side of the business. He most recently was responsible for the Procurement Advisory division and the firm’s Sydney office – one of Grosvenor’s four offices across Australia’s eastern seaboard.

Gassner leads a team of around 40 consultants and staff. “I am passionate about the path we are on. We have a great strategy for the next three years to further solidify our position in the market,” he said.

Meanwhile, Macfarlane is remaining with the firm and has transitioned to the role of Chair of the Board. “I will continue to play a leadership role in the business, and hopefully get the chance to do a bit more consulting!”, said Macfarlane, who specialises in procurement and organisational efficiency in the public domain.

Earlier this year, Grosvenor was certified as a top employer by Great Place to Work and named one of the nation’s top procurement consulting firms for 2022.
