Synechron integrates Australian payments consultancy Attra
Acquired by Synechron over two years ago, the worldwide operations of Australian payments and technology consultancy Attra has now been fully integrated into its parent under the name Synechron Payments.
Melbourne-headquartered Attra is now fully part its parent, operating under the name Synechron Payments, following the global digital transformation consultancy’s acquisition of Attra at the end of 2020.
Prasad Guntupalli, who co-founded Attra in 2005, will continue to lead the new entity as managing director, along with its worldwide team of 2,500-plus payments technology experts.
“We are excited to be integrated under one name and leadership structure as we continue our important work,” Guntupalli stated. “As one firm, under one unmatched brand, our like-minded teams can provide a more robust digital transformation toolkit of real-world solutions. Our combined strengths will help financial services, banking and technology companies empower their operations and realise their digital realities.”
According to Synechron, Attra has since its purchase grown by 62 percent, but the brand will now be retired across its operations with current client engagements transitioned to Synechron Payments. The newly integrated practice will offer a range of services covering consulting, software life-cycle, engineering, and application development and maintenance, available to clients from any of Synechron’s 40 global offices.
Attra’s 2020 acquisition effectively marked Synechron’s entry into the Australian and New Zealand market, its 2,000-strong team at the time swelling Synechron’s own headcount to above 10,000 (which now sits at 14,000-plus in 17 countries). Synechron also purchased UK-based financial services tech consultancy Citihub Digital in late 2020, with CitiHub having likewise since been integrated under Synechron’s own branding.
The firm said that over the past 24 months it had already leveraged Attra’s core digital transformation tech specialties in the areas of intelligent automation, IT infrastructure, mainframes & cloud, UI/UX, information management, and performance engineering and cybersecurity among others.
Attra’s accelerator program also now joins Synechron’s own collection of such solutions, available via its worldwide network of FinLabs.
