Mid-tier firms PKF and William Buck appoint new directors
Mid-tier professional services groups PKF and William Buck have appointed new directors in their Australian business.
At PKF, Jeremy Letts has been hired externally and appointed a director within the firm’s Corporate Finance division.
Based out of Sydney, Letts has been tasked with business development and engagement with clients. “Jeremy has hit the ground running, leveraging his significant networks to identify opportunities for PKF to provide deal lead advisory, due diligence, and valuation services for mid-market deals,” said Andrew Jones, Corporate Finance Leader at PKF.
Letts brings over 25 years of experience in both local and overseas settings, with a background in the delivery of digital solutions for financial advisory firms. His experience includes the management of large teams across product management, business architecture, technology delivery and integration, customer experience, business analysis, and quality assurance.
“We are delighted to announce that Jeremy Letts has joined PKF Corporate Finance as Deals Origination Director. Jeremy has significant experience in technology, insurance and banking having held senior leadership roles at IAG, Westpac, Wells Fargo, and Citigroup,” said Jones.
Meanwhile, at William Buck, Victoria based Ross Burt has been promoted to director, just nine months after his arrival from Big Four firm EY.
“His rapid advancement is testament to the firm’s commitment to hire from within where possible and develop our people to their full potential. Ross’s promotion will further support sustainability and succession within the firm as he builds his own team of emerging leaders,” said Lindsay Holloway, Managing Director of William Buck.
Burt has around two decades of audit and financial reporting experience, 18 years of which he gained at EY. He delivers audit services to multinational listed groups, and has extended to working closely with a number of entrepreneurial fast-growth entities in the listed and privately held space. His experience spans a range of industry sectors including healthcare, technology, retail, manufacturing and private equity.
“Ross’s expertise has been sought by multinational groups across the ASX, due in part to his ability to work across complex environments. We are honoured to welcome him to his new leadership position as director,” said Nicholas Benbow, Head of Audit at William Buck.
