Pyne & Partners expands into Victoria with new Melbourne base
Hot on the heels of launching in Brisbane, Pyne & Partners has expanded into Victoria with the setup of a new base in state capital Melbourne.
At a time when many consultancies are downsizing their office footprint across Australia in response to hybrid working strategies (or: cost rationalisation), government relations and public affairs advisory firm Pyne & Partners is heading in the opposite direction.
Launched in 2019 in Adelaide, the firm has since setup hubs in Sydney, Canberra, and Brisbane, with Melbourne now its fifth office nationally.
“Our continued expansion across Australia is a testament to the strong reputation we’ve built for delivering for our clients,” said company founder Christopher Pyne – Australia’s former minister for defence.
Pyne & Partners helps ministries, government organisations and political groups with national policy, public affairs, strategic communications, and engagement with the public service. The firm also serves a number of private sector businesses, focussing on lobby and public affairs work.
“I am excited to be part of, and lead, Pyne & Partners’ expansion into Melbourne,” said Will Clancy, a newly appointed Senior Associate at the firm. Clancy joins the firm from RPS, where he was an Associate Director focused on projects in the government sector.
Clancy previously held several roles in the public domain, specialising in stakeholder engagement, communications, and campaigns. Among others, he worked with senior cabinet Ministers during the Gillard Labor Government on topics spanning the defence, agriculture, and social policy portfolios.
“I look forward to utilising my range of skills, political experience and professional networks to help our clients navigate their engagements with government and achieve their objectives,” he said.
Pyne said: “Will’s deep understanding of the implementation and management of complex policy and programs, combined with his expertise in communications and stakeholder engagement, makes him an invaluable addition to our team. We’re confident that our client base in Melbourne will greatly benefit from Will’s insights, guidance and on the ground presence.”
