William Buck welcomes five new directors to Business Advisory team
William Buck has promoted five company members to director in its Business Advisory division.
Part of a record intake of nine newly promoted directors, Andrew Toole, Christina Puzio, Dempsey Smythe, James Fox, and Sarah Blake have all joined the highest level of leadership at William Buck, the equivalent of partner in other major professional services firms.
“Our staff are our greatest asset. As such, we encourage and reward professional and personal development, evidenced by our commitment to promote from within where possible,” said Jamie McKeough, Chair of William Buck for Australia and New Zealand.
Andrew Toole has over 15 years of experience advising small-to-medium size businesses on accounting and tax compliance matters. His speciality is assisting private business owners to identify their business goals and aligning these with their personal goals.
Christina Puzio focuses on helping SMEs with a range of services including strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, and business structuring – particularly for privately owned businesses. Alongside this, her knowledge extends to tax advisory services – focusing on taxation law, property and state taxes, fringe benefits tax and superannuation.
Dempsey Smythe works closely with entrepreneurial businesses, assisting start-ups and growing businesses to establish efficient systems, procedures and processes. He also supports clients with strategic advice on acquisitions, large transactions and industry insights.
James Fox has over 11 years of experience in assisting small to medium enterprises and large corporates in managing their cash flow, reporting and analysis. His track record spans a range of industries including property & construction, technology, retail and health with sizes ranging from small SMEs to large privately held groups.
Sarah Blake advises clients including high net wealth family and businesses on business advisory topics such as strategy, organisation, and finances. She is also an expert in superannuation funds, having worked on a huge variety of self-managed funds. Notably, Blake began her career at William Buck as a graduate.
The quintet of new directors comes on the back of a period of strong growth for William Buck’s Business Advisory division. In the period since 30 June 2022, the unit had already added Asif Joowalay, Brian Cao, Cain Meschiati, Courtney West, Eric Flammang, Scott Lindeblad, Chris Leahy, David Freney, Kyle Wathen, Stephen Champion, and Zaid Khatri to its leadership team.
