Anthony Honeyman Co-Lead of Proximity’s consulting business
Leading professional services firm Proximity has appointed Anthony Honeyman as National Co-Lead of its Consulting business.
Anthony Honeyman brings around 20 years of experience in management consulting to the role, all of which he gained at Apis and later on Accenture.
A founding partner of Apis, Honeyman helped grow the public sector consultancy over a 14-year period to a successful large player of around 300 employees before it was acquired by Accenture in 2022. The past two years, Honeyman served as Managing Director and co-led the firm’s integration within the industry giant.
Now at Proximity, Honeyman has been tasked with expanding the firm’s consulting business – one of three service lines alongside legal and commercial services. Canberra-headquartered Proximity works for governments and large organisations.
“We’re excited to welcome Anthony to the National Co-Lead position in our Consulting practice [working alongside Nicole Elliott]. He is a true government specialist, an excellent addition to the team and will add great leadership value alongside Nicole. His industry experience in various senior executive roles across government makes him a valuable asset to our business,” said Zoe Lynam, CEO of Proximity.
Lynam said Honeyman was appointed to the role due to his impressive career and deep expertise. Over the past decade, he has played a prominent role in supporting the government across aged care, social services, health, education, and Indigenous affairs.
Honeyman has led a variety of evaluations, program implementations, procurement activities, formal business cases and stakeholder engagement activities for major business transformation initiatives spanning several government agencies. He also has experience with service design, policy analysis, and business improvement.
“I’m passionate about sharing my knowledge and building capability in business strategy and development as well as program management, and hope to continue building strong relationships with government, business, and industry leaders. I’ve spent most of my working life in the business of government, and I’m excited to bring this experience into Proximity, an Australian owned business delivering great outcomes for government,” said Honeyman.
