Proximity appoints Victorian government leader Andrew Crisp

Government consultancy firm Proximity has appointed Andrew Crisp as an expert advisor.

In his role at Proximity, Andrew Crisp will lead major business transformation initiatives and taskforces at clients, undertake governance, organisational and operational reviews, and provide strategic counsel.

Crisp boasts a long career in government service, leading departments and agencies. Most recently, he was Victoria’s Emergency Management Commissioner and before that, Deputy Commissioner, Regional Operations at Victoria Police.

As Victoria’s Emergency Management Commissioner, Crisp led significant reform in the state including the restructure of Emergency Management Victoria, establishment of Emergency Recovery Victoria and implementation of the 24/7 specialist workforce at the State Control Centre.

At Victoria Police, Crisp led a team that reduced state wide crime rates and also developed lasting relationships with many of the States multicultural communities.

Elizabeth Langdon, Proximity’s Victorian Public Sector Lead, said Crisp was appointed due to his proven ability to lead and influence at a state, national and international level as well as his pragmatic approach to problem solving.
