Nous Group has beefed up its capabilities in the healthcare sector with the acquisition of Health Policy Analysis, a boutique Sydney-based consultancy with around a dozen staff.

Expected to close at the start of next month, the acquisition will see Nous Group deepen its expertise in topics such as healthcare policy, evaluation, planning, modelling, analytics, classification, costing and pricing, as well as data and information management.

Health Policy Analysis works with healthcare institutions and aged care clients, and has completed over 300 projects since its inception twenty-one years ago.

“Demand for our healthcare services has grown significantly over the last three years and during that time, we’ve worked closely with Health Policy Analysis on a range of projects where we have complementary skills and expertise,” said Tim Orton, CEO and Managing Principal of Nous Group.

“Coming together and formalising this successful relationship enables us to offer a better experience to clients while also growing our offer and access to opportunities in the market here and overseas.”

The deal comes shortly after Nous Group was recognised as one of Australia’s leading healthcare consultancies, with the addition of Health Policy Analysis (which also made the list, albeit somewhat lower) further cementing the firm’s market leadership.

“We are thrilled to be joining Nous Group. We are both committed to delivering work that has a positive impact for broader society by working collaboratively with our clients and building their capabilities while generating evidence-based and tailored solutions,” said Jim Pearse, Founder and Director of Health Policy Analysis.

Upon completion of the integration, the Health Policy Analysis team will transition to the Nous Group brand.

With over 750 people working in Australia and four international markets, Nous Group is one of Australia’s largest homegrown consultancies. The firm works across the public, private, and community sectors.
