Project advisory SJA expands to West Coast with Perth office
Project advisory and delivery firm SJA has officially expanded to the West Coast with a new branch in Perth, at the same time as upgrading its Melbourne office and launching into Southeast Asia.
Established in Sydney as SJA Construction Services in 1999, the two-and-half-decade old firm has experienced significant growth since being acquired by global engineering and environmental consultancy RSK some two years ago.
SJA said it already has a well-established connection with Western Australia’s construction industry – formed over many years while serving local clients via its existing offices – but was thrilled to now launch a permanent base in Perth.
The new office will be overseen by WA regional manager Chris Hodges, who joined the firm towards the end of last year from CDI Experts, before which he spent five years as an associate director in HKA’s quantum & delay team and altogether boasts three decades of experience covering every construction project phase from feasibility through to disputes.
SJA said of its new market offering, “We are a leading advisory and delivery firm specialising in expert services, planning & programming, project management and quantity surveying. We have depth of experience and expertise in almost every stakeholder sector, from education facilities, medical precincts and renewable energy farms to high-end residential and infrastructure.”
Meanwhile, SJA has also recently moved its Melbourne office, albeit just to level 6 within the same 500 Collins Street building, as well as welcoming new advisory services regional manager John Donnelly.
As per its new offices, SJA said, “Our new space has been carefully curated to foster collaboration and drive innovation. At its core, the team experience a modern, open-plan co-working area facilitating effortless teamwork with adjoining meeting rooms. Additionally, a contemporary kitchen and laid-back lounge-zone provide an enjoyable area perfect for quick breaks and casual conversations.”
In addition to its Melbourne upgrade and launch in Perth, the rapidly growing firm has also recently expanded into Southeast Asia, with a new Singapore office joining SJA’s existing regional base in Hong Kong. Noted as a growing hub for international dispute resolution, the Singapore outlet will be led by regional manager Robert Maguire alongside quantum expert Maximilian Benz.
