Przemek Luczynski joins Energy & Resources practice of Baringa
Baringa has strengthened its powerhouse Energy & Resources practice with Przemek Luczynski.
Appointed a partner, Przemek Luczynski brings over 15 years of experience in the energy sector to the firm. He joins from EY, where he led the electricity market modelling team in Sydney, specialising in modelling wholesale electricity market in Australia.
Luczynski specialises in electricity market developments – he spent the last nine years focused on electricity markets and networks in Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. During this time, he has supported wind, solar, and battery energy storage system developers, as well as investors, lenders, and large electricity consumers.
At Baringa, Luczynski will leverage his expertise to help the consulting firm expands its electricity modelling offering.
“We are delighted to welcome Przemek to Baringa. His extensive experience and deep technical expertise, particularly in the critical area of early-stage losses and curtailment assessments for renewable assets, will play a crucial role in driving our growth and making a lasting impact on our clients,” said Peter Sherry, leader of the Energy & Resources practice in Australia.
Headquartered in the UK, Baringa has been active in Australia since 2018. Locally, the firm is particularly active in the energy sector, with its Energy & Resources practice recently named among the leaders in the field.
The appointment of Luczynski follows the recent hire of Andrew Dillon, formerly the CEO of Energy Networks Australia.
