Daniel Dowell and Delarey Nell join BDO’s east coast partnership
BDO has appointed two new partners in its east coast offices, with both Daniel Dowell and Delarey Nell to formally kick off their new adventure next week.
Daniel Dowell will join BDO coming Monday as a partner in the Tax division based out of Melbourne, bringing with him over 14 years of professional experience in the Australian tax industry. He specialises in corporate and international tax, and was previously a director at PwC.
BDO’s Melbourne managing partner David Garvey said Dowell’s expertise will enhance the team’s capabilities. “Daniel's proficiency in Australian and international tax issues, combined with his strong technical knowledge and analytical skills, has made him a key player in advising large corporate taxpayers and inbound and outbound multinationals.”
“His extensive Australian and international experience, diverse portfolio, and strategic approach will significantly strengthen our team and support the growth objectives of our Tax practice,” Garvey continued.
Meanwhile in Sydney, Delarey Nell will join the Audit & Assurance division. He has over two decades of audit experience in Australia and international markets, including South Africa, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He was previously a partner at Deloitte and EY.
Nell specialises in financial services audits and provides innovative solutions across sectors including investment and corporate banking, private equity, commercial property finance, equities, derivatives, futures, and commodity markets.
Grant Saxon, BDO’s New South Wales managing partner, said Nell’s appointment was indicative of the firm’s growth agenda. “Delarey joins us as our firm continues to grow from strength to strength, and we look forward to tapping on his expertise as we continue to win market share.”
