HKA bolsters Strategic Advisory team with Enrique Ugarte

HKA has bolstered its Advisory practice in Australia with Enrique Ugarte, who is based out of Sydney.
Enrique Ugarte brings over 20 years of experience in strategy, transformation consulting, and project advisory across various industries to HKA. His background includes conducting strategic reviews, identifying and implementing programs to drive efficiency and effectiveness, and leading diverse teams on complex initiatives in both the private and public sectors, including transport, infrastructure, utilities, and defence.
Ugarte crosses to HKA from Headway, a business intelligence consulting firm which he co-founded several years ago. Before that, he spent close to a decade at Sydney-based boutique Helmsman, where he grew the ranks to partner, and worked for international consultancies BearingPoint and Logica (now CGI).
At HKA, Ugarte is a Director in its Advisory business, which provides advisory and transformation services to infrastructure clients and large asset businesses, helping them to deliver their programs and projects within planning and budget. A member of the Strategic Advisory team, Ugarte focuses on the practice’s front-end offerings.
“I am delighted to be joining HKA and to have the opportunity to work with such a talented and dedicated team,” Ugarte said about his move. “I am looking forward to bringing my expertise in advisory to help drive success for our clients and contribute to the growth of the firm.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Enrique to the team,” said Amri Denton, Advisory partner at HKA. “His extensive experience and proven track record of delivering value-based outcomes to clients make him a valuable addition to our Advisory practice. Enrique’s appointment will help us to grow the Advisory offering and strengthen HKA’s position as a leader in front-end infrastructure advisory services in Australia.”
Earlier this year, HKA named fellow Sydney-based seniors Mike Pitt and Phil Kienstra as Co-Leads of its Advisory business for Asia Pacific.
