Ben Goreux launches sales consulting startup Propelion
Sales leader Ben Goreux has launched Propelion, a Melbourne-based startup dedicated to helping sales teams thrive in a buyer-controlled world increasingly influenced by AI.
In today’s business landscape, sales teams face two major challenges: prolonged sales cycles and diminished client engagement, said Ben Goreux, who has over 25 years of experience in the commercial domain, including 15 years of experience leading sales teams.
“Based on recent research and surveys from Gartner and Salesforce, up to 80% of business customers prefer not to engage directly with sales representatives, instead opting for digital channels throughout their purchasing journey.”
Additionally, buyers engage later in the process and less frequently in face-to-face interactions. This shift has led to longer sales cycles and fewer opportunities for sales professionals to influence decisions through traditional means.
Recognising these challenges, Goreux has branched out on his own to launch Propelion, which aims to equip sales teams with essential skills and habits needed for success in this complex environment. “Our mission is to empower sales professionals to build robust pipelines and enhance their communication skills, maximising their impact during every client interaction,” Goreux explains.
Key services of Propelion include advisory, customised training programs, one-on-one coaching, and workshops focused on leveraging digital tools and artificial intelligence to enhance sales productivity.
Goreux previously led sales teams at global organisations like Oracle and Microsoft, bringing a wealth of knowledge in the field to Propelion’s clients. He also worked with numerous startups and mid-sized businesses across industries. “The sales industry is at a pivotal point,” he notes. “Propelion is here to guide sales teams through this transformation, helping them adapt and succeed.”
