Richard Parker appointed new managing director of Cprime Elabor8
IT industry veteran Richard Parker has taken over as the new managing director of management consultancy Cprime Elabor8, having joined the firm as chief customer officer in July.
Based out of Sydney, Parker brings more than two and a half decades worth of IT industry experience to his new role, including senior leadership stints at Capgemini, Unisys, and Wipro and over ten years at IBM.
He replaces Cprime Elabor8 co-founder Nam Huynh, who has served as CEO since the departure of fellow co-founder Paul Velonis mid-last year and will continue on as a part-time executive advisor for marketplace & strategy.

Prior to crossing last year, Parker served as A/NZ general manager for US AIOps platform ScienceLogic, before which he was a cloud infrastructure & cybersecurity services vice president at Capgemini and Asia Pacific financial services lead for Unisys. He also held earlier senior positions at Wipro and IBM, the latter where spent over a decade dating back to 1999.
Parker joined Elabor8 roughly twelve months on from its acquisition by US-headquartered agile and tech consultancy Cprime, which in turn followed shortly after its own pick up by Goldman Sachs and Everstone Capital and expanded the company into the Asia Pacific with a regional team of approximately 140 professionals at the time. Elabor8 was originally founded in 2009.

Cprime meanwhile operates across the US, UK, Europe and Asia Pacific, with a headcount of more than 800 professionals.
