Andrew Lovrek takes the reins of Neudesic in Australia

IBM Consulting has appointed Andrew Lovrek to lead the Microsoft cloud consulting brand Neudesic in Australia.

Andrew Lovrek joins Neudesic from Telstra, where he led the Cloud Infrastructure team, responsible for both private and public cloud environments.

Before that, he led major technical transformation initiatives across diverse industries and technologies, among others working as Consulting Delivery Director at Microsoft and Cloud Infrastructure Leader at National Australia Bank.

Commenting on his move to Neudesic, Lovrek said: “I’m looking forward to building on Neudesic’s global momentum in the Australian mid-market and leveraging Neudesic’s deep expertise in Azure, AI, data, engineering, and analytics to Australian customers.”

“As we move through 2025, my focus will be on strengthening the firm’s portfolio across industries including financial services, manufacturing, energy and utilities, and meeting the growing demands of AI,” he added.

Neudesic, an IT consultancy dedicated to the Microsoft Azure platform (acquired by IBM in 2022), launched in Australia late 2024 with a focus on providing its expertise in data and AI, cloud migration and modernisation, application development, and digital strategy.
