Kourosh Kayvani named regional leader of HKA’s Forensic Technical Services practice
Global consulting firm HKA has effective 1 May 2025 appointed Kourosh Kayvani as International Lead of its Forensic Technical Services practice. He oversees teams in around 20 offices worldwide.
In his new role, Kourosh Kourosh will oversee the leadership of HKA’s engineering and technical expert services across the firm’s International region, which covers all regions outside of the Americas. Kourosh will oversee clients and project delivery, drive excellence in forensic technical services, and spearhead innovation.

Kourosh joined HKA in Australia at the start of 2021, following a 23-year career with Aurecon, where he held senior leadership roles, including as Managing Director for Design, Innovation & Eminence and was a member of its global executive leadership team.
During his tenure at HKA, Kourosh helped the Forensic Technical Services practice cement its position as one of the leading players for large and complex technical disputes.
His contributions have been instrumental in delivering significant global infrastructure projects, including Wembley Stadium (London), West Kowloon Terminus (Hong Kong), Lusail Stadium (Qatar), and key Australian developments such as the ANSTO OPAL nuclear reactor, the Sydney International Hockey Stadium, and CommBank Stadium.

Kourosh is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers in Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE). In addition to his leadership at HKA, he serves as a Board Director of Engineers Australia, a Senate member of the FIDIC Academy, and an Adjunct Professor at Western Sydney University.
