Three leading professional services firms in the water and energy infrastructure sector – Sequana, Atlas and Infrastructure Project Solutions – are joining forces, creating a team of around 200 professionals with an end-to-end offering.

The three-way deal technically sees Pemba Capital Partners-backed Sequana acquire Atlas and Infrastructure Project Solutions (IPS). Financial terms and conditions of the deal have not been disclosed.

As a result of the partnership, the combined group will be able to deliver end-to-end infrastructure solutions spanning the entire asset lifecycle, from strategy and planning to design, delivery, and long-term asset management.

Established in 2019, Sequana is an advisory and project management consultancy in the water infrastructure sector. Atlas Engineering Group meanwhile is an engineering firm specialised in brownfield water and wastewater programs, while Infrastructure Project Solutions is a Brisbane-based engineering and construction delivery specialist.

“This is a major step forward for our clients, the sector and our people,” said Frank Fisseler, Co-Founder and CEO of Sequana. “Together with Atlas and Infrastructure Project Solutions, we’re scaling up to tackle bigger challenges, unlock greater value for clients, and deliver long-term environmental and community impact. We are stronger together.”

Alongside its added scale and enlarged services portfolio, the deal also expands the group’s regional presence. Atlas expands Sequana’s reach and capability across New South Wales and Victoria, and Infrastructure Project Solutions deepens its footprint in Queensland.

Commenting on the deal, Scott Rudram, Founder and Managing Director of Atlas, said: “Sequana’s strong leadership, culture and advisory depth complement our technical capability. Our people will benefit from broader project exposure, career pathways, and shared learning across both teams. It’s a win for our client and our people.”

Sascha Kurz, Founder of Infrastructure Project Solutions, added: “This partnership enables us to go further and deliver smarter solutions for clients. We thrive on complex challenges and are excited to combine our expertise with Sequana and Atlas to provide a true end-to-end infrastructure solution.”

Fisseler concluded: “Our vision has always been to challenge the traditional consulting model by delivering real-world results through genuine collaboration. This partnership combines the best of strategic advisory, engineering know-how, and construction delivery to help solve Australia’s most pressing infrastructure challenges. It’s about doing meaningful work, at scale, with people who care.”
