NRI brings in trio of executive-level recruits to boost Australian business

Global tech consultancy NRI has made a series of changes to its senior leadership team in Australia and New Zealand since the appointment of Kaylene O’Brien as managing director.

Former Capgemini Invent managing partner Susan Beeston has come on board as executive general manager for consulting, while Amit Singhania and Dave Lennon, ex-Cagemini and Fujitsu, have taken up the equivalent roles for managed services and clients & industries.

The trio of executive appointments follow that of Kaylene O’Brien’s CEO switch from Capgemini to NRI toward the end of last year, with a move towards greater industry and domain specialisations and a sharper client focus cited as the motivation behind the senior moves.

“I am delighted to welcome these three outstanding leaders to NRI as we transform our business,” O’Brien stated. “NRI is well positioned to meet the demand for specialised firms with access to senior technology leaders and advisors, offering clients tailored solutions on their preferred platform across the full spectrum from discreet projects to end-to-end engagements.”

Susan Beeston joins NRI after spending five years leading Capgemini Invent’s A/NZ division following the launch of the integrated consulting, digital, and creative brand in 2018, before which she headed Capgemini’s local consulting & digital services business for half of her two-decade career at the firm. She has also been serving as acting GM of NRI/ASG’s Canberra acquisition, Pragma Partners.

O’Brien: “Susan is widely respected in the industry as a trusted advisor to clients across strategy, digital transformation, organisational optimisation, technology, sustainability, and data innovation. She is focused on supporting clients to deliver strategy and drive value in their businesses, and brings an innovation mindset and genuine passion for technology and people development.”

Amit Singhania also crosses following more than a decade at Capgemini, most recently as vice president and head of clients after having previously led a number of sectors, including consumer products, retail, & manufacturing and distribution & transport among others. Prior to joining in 2012, Singhania spent a decade between HLCTech, Tech Mahindra and TCS in Australia, India and Thailand.

“I’m really excited about Amit leading the important new role of executive general manager of client & industries,” O’Brien commented. “He will drive how we plan and deliver work and optimise client experience, and support our people to build a deeper understanding of our client’s strategies and industries to enable our teams to deliver even more value to their business.”

Based in Brisbane, Dave Lennon departed Fujitsu last year after four and a half years in various senior roles, including as public sector lead and Oceania head of sales, following a period running his own consultancy and Data#3’s earlier purchase of Business Aspect, which he also co-founded in 2006. Previously, he held senior positions at Dimension Data and LogicaCMG (now CGI).

O’Brien: “Dave brings a wealth of industry experience to his new role, along with a deep understanding of what our clients need most: reliability, innovation, and outcomes. He will be instrumental in driving growth and innovation in managed services, and I’m confident he’ll bring his strong client focus and creative problem-solving skills and be an inspiring leader for the team.”
