Deloitte adds new partners in Sydney and Melbourne to start the new year
Professional services firm Deloitte has promoted seven new partners in Sydney and Melbourne to kick off the new year.
John Rogerson, Helga Pons, and Benoit Aymonier-Newman have all been promoted in Sydney, while the Melbourne cohort of new Deloitte partners includes Doug Schairer, Gayani De Silva, Katrina Mariani, and Manmohan Toshniwal.
“Each new partner brings unique strengths and perspectives, deep expertise, strong leadership, and a proven record of delivering impact that matters,” said Deloitte chief Joanne Gorton. “The next chapter in their careers starts here, and we can’t wait to see the energy they’ll bring to our clients and firm as we continue to invest in our long-term growth.”
John Rogerson
A financial services sector-focused audit & assurance partner, Rogerson first joined Deloitte in London in 2012 before relocating to Sydney six years later and being promoted to director in 2020.
Helga Pons
Pons is likewise focused on the financial services sector, providing advisory on M&A transactions. She joined Deloitte in 2021 after more than a decade at Accenture in strategy & management.
Benoit Aymonier-Newman
A member of Deloitte Consulting, Aymonier-Newman also crossed from Accenture, in 2018 after four years in the consultancy’s analytics division, having arrived in Sydney from Paris in 2013.
Doug Schairer
The leader of Deloitte’s digital workplace practice, Schairer steps up to partner after first joining in Boston in 2018 and then again in Sydney in 2023, with two years spent at ServiceNow in between.
Gayani De Silva
Another new technology partner with altogether two decades of CRM and ERP experience between Australia and Sri Lanka, De Silva joined in 2019 from Empired ahead of its Capgemini acquisition.
Katrina Mariani
Now a partner within Deloitte’s audit & assurance division, Mariani has been with the firm for almost two decades, joining as a graduate in 2008 following an accounting degree at Monash.
Manmohan Toshniwal
Toshniwal joined Deloitte’s forensics & financial crime team in 2021 after fourteen years at ANZ, first in Bangalore and then Melbourne, latterly where he led the bank’s crime detection strategy.
